Have you heard of the IOS14 “Boogieman?”
So many marketers were terrified he was going to destroy their Facebook Marketing.
Turns out the fear was overhyped.
And it hasn’t actually made that much of a dent in advertising results. So…
Here are 5 reasons I’m not scared of IOS14:
Reason #1. It’s not having that much of an impact on actual advertising results.
For example, one of my clients has been running ads for years.
And they sailed right thru the IOS14 storm just fine.
They kept bringing in new customers every single month.
And their business is still going great.
Reason #2. It appears that Facebook was selling their leads multiple times.
Let me explain. I’ve noticed that whenever I read a sales page, I immediately start getting Facebook Ads from all of that company’s competitors.
Why? Because I’m a top-level lead to buy those products as well. (Queue the Facebook Conspiracy Theorists.)
This is simply how business works. Any company that generates leads for people wants to sell those leads to as many people as possible.
Facebook owns the platform and they’re free to run their business as they see fit.
Reason #3. This will cause more marketers to stop advertising on Facebook, which will reduce competition, and lower ad costs.
Let’s face it. The real loser in this situation is Facebook because they won’t be able to get as much money per ad served.
Reason #4. High-converting Ad Copy is still the most important thing on Facebook.
In order to succeed with Facebook Marketing, you need great ads, a strong sales funnel, and a solid business model.
The “wannabe” marketers are the ones who will lose out in this change.
And since I can create high-converting Facebook Ad Copy, I’ll be ok. That will more than make up for any Facebook Targeting Problem.
Here’s an example. I scaled up an ad campaign by 223% during the IOS14 Rollout.
- In a 30 day time period in March 2021 (before IOS14), that ad campaign brought in $49,324 in revenue.
- I created a bunch of new ads for this campaign and launched them out in April 2021, right as IOS14 was being rolled out.
- In a 30 day time period in May 2021 (after IOS14), that ad campaign brought in $270,714 in revenue.
- In addition, the Cost to Acquire a Customer also dropped by about 20% at the same time.
And, I’ve done that on multiple campaigns. Obviously, the sales increase and cost reduction vary – depending on how well the new ads convert.
Reason #5. Facebook has over 60,000 smart employees working on the problem.
I’m sure they’ll come up with a few solutions. They have a ton of data to work with.
And, here’s a bonus reason.
Reason #6. There are other ways to market your business besides Facebook.
In fact, some of them work even better than Facebook. In fact, I did a breakdown of over a dozen other ways you can market your business besides Facebook.
So, stop worrying. Stop stressing. And stop living your life in fear!
